Heather Salerno is an award-winning journalist and writer whose work has appeared in Family Circle, Woman's World, People, USA Today, Glamour, The Washington Post, Newsday and The Journal News, a daily New York suburban newspaper owned by Gannett. She is also a communications specialist who has worked with universities, medical institutions and corporate clients to create brand strategies and deliver compelling content across multiple platforms. During her career, she has profiled an eclectic range of celebrities and newsmakers (from Martha Stewart to Mary J. Blige), written about 9/11 victims and their families, and witnessed a kidney transplant firsthand. A graduate of Georgetown University with master's and bachelor's degrees in English, she lives and works in the greater New York City area.
